A Small Dragon

Brian Pattens poetry A Small grand hydrogen tartrate is an extended metaphor where a dragon represents idea. through this poem, serviceman is criticised for closing its mind to the beauty and power of idea kinda of enjoying its limitless powers which puts colour into our mundane lives. The poet depicts an atypical shape of a dragon which represents imaginativeness in our lives. Although the dragon should be commodious and dominating, it is small, fragile and vulnerable as it is not universe abandoned importance. Humanity is not making room for conception; I need foods you cant provide and and then it is a mis pair in our world as we are not mentally expeditious to need it. The reflections in the dragons look are vague just like idea and therefore a mystery. It is somewhat ironic and sad that where imagination has no limits, we set limits as we are not ready to accept the vague. These images of the dragon invoke a deep depression of compassion which is done purposely to encourage change in the reader. The dragon, imagination, try to grow roots in our life; It do a nest among the coal. Coal, a metaphor for life, is dull, benighted and dead and imagination does not belong among it. It tried to fit in but was rejected as the world is unable(predicate) of perceiving imagination which was therefore out of place.

Its articulatio of inquire and creativity is silent here. Patten condemns those who are unfertile and shit the dragon feel a misfit. He ends the poem by challenging for the reader, using the word I to conciliate it to a greater extent personal, to go bey ond the third estate perception and closed ! minds of mankind and to appreciate the complexity of imagination and creativity, letting it work its invocation on our mundane lives. The run-in gived is simple and inspires a mood of mystery with use of words such as hazel-nut, dandelion and roots of stars.
